"Big" Americans
Here's a funny example of everything being bigger in America, verses the rest of the world:
The paper towels we bought in London are on the left. The paper towels we bought in Seattle are on the right - they are from Costco, but even from a regular store they would be way larger!

Maybe there are more towels because we are not as "tidy"?? Or, the flats are not as roomy as an apartment?? Anyway, we made our COSTCO run this AM and replenished the paper towels!!
Good idea you have to just enjoy your new temporary home and not worry about "cost"ing more, etc. Puts a damper on things. Anyway, sounds like you 2 are doing well so keep :)
