Big day for UK Sports
Don't know if folks in the States know (or care) but the Rugby World Cup 2007 kicked off last night. We were lucky enough to watch the opening match with friends who knew what was going on, and taught us a lot about the game over the 90 minutes (40 minute halves, 10 minute half time). Yesterday was great - Argentina upset the host country and higher ranked team, France.
Today there were two big games kicked off at 5pm, one rugby, one Eurocup qualifying. In rugby, England, winner of the last world cup, was playing the US, not a powerhouse. And as expected, US lost 28-10. Respectable considering some other games today. In Eurocup qualifying England played Israel in pool play. There was a lot of concern on how they would play - all for not. It ended as a blowout, 3-0 for England. Good stuff.

We watched some guys play in the park by our apt last weekend. Ethan and I were watching, trying to figure out how the game works. I think we kind of figured it out but it sounds like you had a good teacher. It just hasn't caught on here in America yet....
