Working again......
I started work today, eased into it - only working a 1/2 day. Ordinarily I won't work Mondays at all, just Tuesday through Friday. Pretty good schedule in my opinion - three day weekends are a dream! (Andy is a little upset by this, jealous really). I think this job will be good. Better than my last attempt at working here in London. I will be learning more about flower design, running a business and will be the personal assistant to a well known flower designer in the UK.

You don't know me, but I stumbled upon your blog (short version: Andy's baseball blog links my baseball blog, and one eventually finds this sort of stuff after clicking enough links).
In any event, I had no interest in working this afternoon, so I have pretty much read your entire London blog. Great reading!
A good friend of mine and his wife did essentially the same thing you are doing a few years back (San Francisco to London for two years; one coming for an internet job, the other doing her best to figure out what she wanted to do) and your experiences sound very similar. Only difference was that when my wife and I came over to visit, they insisted that I bring them American laundry detergent, so maybe the pellets wear on you after a while.
Oh well, no reason for posting aside to say thank you for making your private lives a little bit public to those of us who, more than anything else, think of the internet as a totally respectable way to spy on people. ;-)
